The Harmony of Wood Project – RAFACZÓWKI RESIDENCES is a complex of 6 luxurious residences with a total area of 966 m², each of which has 161 m² with its own garden. The residences are arranged in a linear layout, which ensures privacy and comfort for each property. The project directly refers to the Podhale tradition of “Barn-style cottages”, which, combined with modern architectural elements, creates a modern settlement that provides peace, quiet and privacy.

The location of the Residences (Gubałówka Slope) allows for active recreation. Only 50 meters from Rafaczówka Residences there are very attractive and scenic walking and cycling routes.

Harmony of Wood” is a project that draws inspiration from the extraordinary achievements of Stanisław Witkiewicz, the precursor of the Zakopane style. As an architect and artist, Witkiewicz sought to find a unique architectural identity for the Podhale region, one that combined the natural beauty of the region with local carpentry traditions. His designs, based on traditional building techniques and folk patterns, were born from personal experiences and a deep fascination with the highland culture.

The Zakopane style, initiated by Witkiewicz, is characterized by a combination of natural materials such as wood and stone, and rich ornamentation referring to folk art. The addition of glass combined with stone and wood creates a unique style that gives a unique regional character. The Rafaczówka Residence project fits into this trend, continuing the Zakopane tradition, but enriching it with modern technologies and ecological solutions, such as smart home systems and energy independence.

The investment is located on the slope of Gubałówka (1126 m above sea level), on the border of Zakopane and Suche. The amazing view of the panorama of the Tatra Mountains and Zakopane delights at any time of the day – at night, the palette of colors and lights creates a picturesque landscape. The advantage of this place is that to admire such a view, everyone has to drive to the slope of Gubałówka, while the owners of the residences can simply go for a walk and enjoy the proximity of the most desirable attractions of Podhale.

The central point of the living room is a marble-clad fireplace with delicate, golden veins – a symbol of classic elegance and homeliness, perfectly fitting into the Zakopane style. Open, well-lit rooms, large windows and panoramic views make the interiors harmoniously blend with the surrounding nature, in accordance with Witkiewicz’s assumptions.

The kitchen is dominated by white, marble countertops and classic cabinets with decorative handles, which reinforces the traditional character of the interior and refers to the handicraft roots of the highland style. The dining room is equipped with wooden furniture with simple lines, which harmonize with the natural decor, adding warmth to the interior. Exposed, massive ceiling beams refer to traditional highland construction, giving the space authenticity and coziness.

The whole creates a cohesive, classic style, in which luxury coexists with nature and tradition. This harmonious combination of elegance and the highland spirit perfectly fits into the assumptions of Witkiewicz’s Zakopane style, giving the residence a unique and timeless character.
